The Rutland Invitation Quiz League is back! After having to curtail the season in 2020 work began in March to return this year. Now we are up and running with a new website, a new committee and enthusiastic teams.
The League covers a large area from Collyweston in the east to Melton Mowbray in the west. There are six teams from Oakham and three based in Somerby. Other villages represented are Langham, Whissendine and Market Overton. We are hoping to spread the representation throughout the county in the next few years.
With everything that has happened in the past twenty four months we just glad to have been able to restart the competition and commence the task of recruiting new teams and players for next season. To this end we are partnering with CAMRA with the express aim of involving pubs and clubs and helping to ensure that the social side is developed and the pub once again becomes a destination point.
We are sure that there are publicans and regulars who could form a team and we are hoping that we will be able to meet and advice them over the coming months. If you are interested please contact the chairman () and we can begin building for next September.
